Its full-color LCD combines numerical and color-coded information. Choose it when that interface is useful to you, rather than choosing only by the largest number on a thermometer range.
Ooni describes an initial setup for its cordierite stones and adjustable emissivity for other materials and finishes. The listed upper target range is 999°F, with a 0.1-degree display increment in Fahrenheit or Celsius. The stated response is roughly 300 milliseconds and the claimed accuracy is within four degrees Fahrenheit; those are manufacturer specifications, and the display increment is not the same as the accuracy claim.
Two AAA Duracell batteries and an aluminum hanging-loop attachment are included. Wipe-clean care is stated. This is a non-contact surface instrument, not a probe for food interiors or a thermometer to leave inside the oven.
