Choose the working form before the finish
Detroit-style rectangular pans provide sides around the cooking surface. Mesh screens and perforated disks offer different open supporting forms, while round deep-dish pans provide another geometry. The Lloyd rectangular pan, Nordic Ware pan and American Metalcraft screen are examples of distinct choices, not interchangeable sizes of the same product.
Words such as seasoned, coated, uncoated and non-stick describe different source claims. Read the actual selected material and surface description. A material name alone does not establish a particular coating chemistry, temperature permission or independently tested release performance.
Read top, bottom and cooking-surface measurements separately
Tapered sides can produce different top and bottom dimensions, and a stated cooking surface is not necessarily the same as the outside rim. The Nordic Ware selection explicitly identifies a cooking surface; several Lloyd entries also distinguish measurements by part. Use those scopes when the pan must fit an oven opening or a specific work area.
An eight-, twelve- or sixteen-inch label can be nominal. Do not choose whichever generic field happens to fit the opening. If two values actually describe the same part and state but disagree, retain the uncertainty and confirm the current selected model.
Count pans, screens, lids and accessories separately
A pan-and-lid selection, a screen pair and a mixed pan-and-spatula set have different inventories. Read the itemized contents rather than treating the total piece count as complete pans or assuming that a photographed pizza is included.
Follow the selected maker’s care and use limits. An open mesh pattern is not permission for direct-flame use, and a numerical limit stated for one pan does not apply to every screen, coating or lid. This department compares equipment; it does not provide a universal baking schedule.

Can I assume a screen is approved for direct flame?
No. Its open construction does not establish that permission. Use the instructions for the exact selected screen or pan.
Does a larger set always contain more pans?
A headline count may include lids, spatulas or other pieces. Compare the number of complete pans and the actual size allocation.
